Marketing Agency Sr. PR Strategist
​Pittsburgh
Salary Range  ​$60,000 - $75,000

One of our hottest Pittsburgh-based digital marketing agency clients is looking for a talented PR Strategist that wants to and can expand their horizons personally and professionally with a terrifically talented team and great client list.

This highly effective marketing agency offers its clients a fully integrated, multi-channel campaign approach featuring digital tools and interactive technologies that are rooted in winning strategies and then flawlessly executed. As a result, they continue to grow and need the instincts and skills of an PR Strategist who can nurture and grow strong client relationships while developing and directing the implementation of a PR plans that get attention and coverage that helps propel client brands forward in their industries.

We are looking for someone who understands the power of PR and how to apply public relations strategies across all mediums. Someone like you, who can organize, challenge and inspire a team to drive higher-level thinking would thrive in this environment.  You will supervise the development of integrated public relations communication programs for key accounts with the support of the firm’s senior leaders along with the internal creative and technical teams.

Your responsibilities:
  • Developing strategic briefs, establishing marketing communications goals; creating and managing client campaigns encompassing multiple tactics, including writing, media relations, digital and social media support, special events and advertising
  • Manage client media relations, including: Developing media pitches and identifying proper local, regional or national media outlets; developing and nurturing media relationships; creating and updating editorial calendars, including those for trade publications, for upcoming opportunities.
  • Writing, editing and distributing all press releases, media advisories, and media kits; tracking and reporting of media coverage; maintaining and updating media lists; developing meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Traffic all content-related projects, including product literature, website design and copy, public/media relations materials, print, digital and social media editorial and advertising, and other marketing communications materials.
  • Support client events and meetings as needed, to include writing speeches and scripts, and coordinating interviews with media.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Stay abreast of client-related media and trades, as well as general marketing trends and best practices.​

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field; and/or equivalent work experience
  • Fluid use of MS Office, Internet, Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media Platforms
  • Strong perceptive and analytic abilities applied to management, analysis, problem solving, client relations, strategy and planning
  • Demonstrable ability to develop a defined strategy, set a course and deliver results in a similar agency or media consultation environment
  • Cultural fit and desire to work in challenging, funky, integrated environment
  • Comfort in the Board Room pitching top executives and conveying a compelling value proposition
